Larger Than Life

    Must See
Leila Jeffreys is no stranger to us, we featured her work in our initial Bird Watching post a couple of years back and have been fans ever since. With a new exhibition coming up at Olsen Irwin and an insightful interview on The Design Files, it's easy to see why the spotlight is shining brightly on Leila. Her new series of Australian birds soars to new heights, with Sooty (above) one of our favourites. We're also fond of Ash (below) and his tale of survival. He's a Grey Falcon, of which there are just 1,000 in the wild in Australia. Ash is alive thanks to the rescue work of two ornithologists who found him on the side of the road with a wing injury. He is now lovingly cared for by Phil Payne at Eagles Heritage in Margaret River, Western Australia. Catch Leila's Prey exhibition at Olsen Irwin from 10 to 28 September 2014.
