Park Nights

    Must See
Serpentine Galleries know a thing or two about cool collaborations thanks to their annual Serpentine Pavilion commission, and Park Nights is no exception. For 2018 eight international artists respond to the pavilion through experimental and interdisciplinary performances in a program that runs through to 21 September. COS, who seem to have a consistently great ear to the ground, eye to the future of what’s hot, and put their money where their mouth is supporting culture and other creative disciplines, are involved. They backed Telfar x FAKA, another cool collaboration merging fashion ...

    Africa Calling

    Must See
Three exhibitions in Amsterdam are shining the light on Africa's approach to fashion from mid last century to now and beyond. First up is Foam where Seydou Keïta's wonderful black and white Bamako Portraits are showing through to 20 June 2018. Seydou's subjects flocked to his studio in the 1950s and 1960s to pose in their best and most extravagant clothes. The results speak for themselves. Taking an in-depth look at the flourishing streetwear and couture scenes in multiple African countries is Fashion Cities Africa, a show full of vim and vigour at the Tropen Museum where

Ane Crabtree's aptly titled exhibition Dressing for Dystopia features 45 fascinating costumes from the hit TV series The Handmaid's Tale adapted from Margaret Atwood's novel and starring Elisabeth Moss among others. We're sure it's a compelling debut show, particularly given Ane's previous work on Masters of Sex and Westworld. It's on through to 12 August at SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion + Film. Wishful Thinking

    Wishful
It's wish list time, and we think we've been good enough all year long so we've rounded up a few selections to come this week. First up is Mirador's gorgeous River View sarong. It was painted in a dry river bed in Trephina Gorge up north, and we reckon it'll be turning heads on the beach this summer Wow!

    Enchanting Darling!

    Flashback
The pièce de résistance of window shopping is, and we think without doubt, at 24 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in Paris. It's here that Leïla Menchari has worked her infinite magic creating enchanting window displays for Hermès that go beyond merchandising and enter the realm of theatrical wonderlands! We wish we could sashay into Paris to experience an exhibition showcasing 35 years of superb displays at Grand Palais on through to 3 December 2017 ourselves, but for now we're happy ogling outstanding images on Trendland and getting the lowdown on Vogue. Hermès by Margiela

    Must See
A summer sojourn to Antwerp could well be in the works if only to catch Margiela, The Hermès Years exhibition at MoMu showing through to 27 August 2017. The focus is on the collections for Hermès by avant-garde Belgian designer Martin Margiela, whose appointment was considered bold at the time (1997 through to 2003) thanks to his knack for deconstruction, recycling and recovery of materials among other things. Need to coffee up while in town, our picks are Barchel's and Butcher's followed by drinks dockside at Bar Paniek.

    Golden Eyes

    Wishful
With the scent of summer on the breeze it's no wonder we have serious sunglass envy: Chloé's Carolina Gold Edition may well be beyond our means, but who wouldn't want to be watching the world in 18 karat gold? We're loving the Summer Swede vibe courtesy of Chloé girl Michaela Wissen. It's the Midas Touch all over.
