High Hopes
GallivantsWe've had a chat with Santa about delivering one of these for Christmas, possibly anchored in the Ionian Islands in Greece with a private jet to get us there. We'll need bling for on deck, Burberry has us covered. Party heels too, Armani Armani. And lastly, long naps in the sun.

Glamping
GallivantsWith winter in full swing and our fascination with glamping showing no signs of abating, we're planning and saving for warm outdoor escapes. Paperbark Camp in Jervis Bay (top) beckons with its beaches and bush setting and concept based on African safaris. Throw in good food and you've got our attention. Further afield Autocamp in California offers two locations, Santa Barbera and Russian River, both offering stunning locations with luxury camping accommodation in Airstream campers. Book us in! Stockholm Stopover
GallivantsWith a spring in its step, Stockholm has woken from its winter slumber with a slew of opulent offerings. First up is Alma, a members club providing opportunities for social nourishment, the learning of new skills and far more. We'd join just for the interior. Artilleriet, which we found on In/Out, is the place to shop for cool objects. We adore Marc Braun's mortar and pestle although it has us in a major marble quandary. And for sustenance it's Agrikultur where the focus is on seasonal Swedish ingredients from an open kitchen. For more nordic tips check out Sight Unseen's roundup.
#trendspotting . 30.03.17 Danish Day Out
GallivantsWe've been reminiscing about our trip to Denmark earlier in the year, and not just for the big bowls of coffee and glazed crème brûlée doughnuts available at the uber cool Copenhagen Street Food. It's on Paper Island, a cool spot to sit and sip in the summer listening to live opera from the other side of the canal. We took in Paul Gauguin at the Glyptoteket, the city's art gallery, and both were amazing. Set in beautiful grounds and about an hour out of the city, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art offers the best in art, architecture and nature with a cool series of clips including our ...

Comey Crush
GallivantsWe wanted to move into Rachel Comey's Crosby Street store's change rooms on a recent jaunt to New York: we could live in the clothes, wear every pair of shoes and dress up in their jewels to our heart's desire. And a trip to LA might be needed if Dustin Aksland's ravishingly rendered photographs on In/Out are anything to go by. But closer to home, we can satisfy our Comey crush at The Standard Store or Bow and Arrow in Sydney.

Freezin’ Freediving
GallivantsBreathtakingly beautiful is how we'd describe the latest clip in the Nowness Endurance Test series which takes you under the ice in Finland's stunning arctic region. Ian Derry's mesmerising film of record-holding freediver Johanna Nordblad captures her spirit and determination to recover following a major accident. Inspirational and highly recommended viewing.

Slow Lane
GallivantsTrailing behind our not so mobile post a week or so back are these cool campers. A recent stop by WebUrbanist alerted us to Big Green Bus, a mobile B&B oozing British charm complete with log burner, functional kitchen and ample sleeping space. If glamping is your thing, then head to Hotel Daniel's garden in Vienna to stay in a luxury 1952 Silver Cloud Clipper.

Go Slow
GallivantsWe've spied a few iconic modes of travel that have found their final resting spots in some enticing locations. One hard to cruise pass is the old Airstream hitched up at The Atlantic in Byron Bay. Keeping things low key is the big bus home in Big Sur. And finally, Caravan Tokyo offers all mod cons in a permanently parked van in the middle of the city. Now that's surreal.

North to Noosa
GallivantsDeus Ex Machina is no stranger to us, it's one of our favourite Bali sweet spots for coffee and bikes. Their latest project is North to Noosa, a film directed by Dustin Humphrey tracking the travels of three young surfers astride custom motorcycles heading north out of Sydney. Riding waves and battling wild weather with their gear and boards in tow, this sounds like an evocative film taking in the east coast's surfing hotspots. It's out in March but you can catch the trailer here.
